Our Story
Hotside is an Australian owned and operated business dedicated to supply of everything you could ever need relating to a turbo system with a strong focus on the motorsport enthusiast.
We strive to manufacture in house where practicable and have invested 100's of thousands in plant and equipment. We also stock top quality brands.
We have many years of experience in aftermarket turbo charging dating back to the 1980's turbo era right through to recently setting a Land Speed Record at Lake Gairdner.
After helping out a few mates it became obvious that we had the skills and knowledge to service a much wider audience, hence HOTSIDE was born.
Products and Value
The hot side of a turbo system can refer to all components before an intercooler or it can also refer to components on the turbine inlet side that handle the high-temperature exhaust gases generated by an engine. In other words - Boost Bits.
Our range of products offered is growing daily. We offer kits and also stock a wide range of flanges including some hard to find models. Anything that should be here, please let us know! Or contact us about your particular project.
The Team
HOTSIDE founder and current owner Dave Plecas has a rich and successful racing heritage spanning decades and many diverse forms of motorsport. Dave is seen here with his 130mph compound turbo postie bike at Lake Gairdner. 45+ psi boost and 60 RWHP from a 125cc single cylinder two valve 4-stroke.
Wife Rose manages the orders, packaging and shipping. The logo design and media is the handiwork of Son Jake. Additionally we have 2 part time employees assisting with manufacturing.

Meanwhile we have been assisting brother Danny's land speed streamliner, pictured below at Lake Gairdner performing a licensing pass. Currently powered by a 7 litre naturally aspirated LS.
We have “loaned” him a Motec ECU, completed the wiring and also tuned it. HOTSIDE also provided the exhaust flanges to suit the higher and wider exhaust ports found on the Higgins LS heads.
